539.01 DEFINITIONS.

   As used in this chapter the words and phrases defined hereunder shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them:

   (a)    "Park" means any and all land dedicated as a park, and owned, controlled or supervised by the City of Wooster whether such park land is located within or outside the limits of the City.

   (b)    "Park and recreation facilities" means park lands, park buildings and their contents, park streets, parkways, park trails, picnic pavilions, picnic tables, grills, recreation centers, playgrounds, playground equipment, athletic fields, swimming pools, tennis courts, horseshoe courts, ponds, waterways, maintenance equipment, landscape plantings and other vegetative growth, or other facilities owned, controlled or supervised by the Parks and Recreation Department.

   (c)    "Person" means an individual, two or more persons or a corporation, i.e. a body of associated persons.

   (d)    “Director” means the Director of Administration or his/her designee.

   (e)    "Law enforcement officer" means any officer of the Department of Police; any officer from the Office of Sheriff, Wayne County, Ohio; or any deputized security officer who may be employed at any time by the Department of Parks and Recreation to enforce this chapter.

   (f)    "Commission" means the Parks and Recreation Commission.
