131.10 HOURS OF DUTY: SAFETY FORCES RESPONSE DISTRICT.

(a) The Chief of the Fire Division shall arrange the hours and days of duty of the employees of the Division subject to negotiated labor contracts. The chief shall have the authority to schedule officers or fire-fighters for overtime duty to fill vacancies on a shift which are caused by sickness, vacation or shortage of personnel. He shall also have the authority to call off-duty personnel to assist in emergencies. Officers and firefighters of the Fire Division shall be required to reside within the boundaries of the following described Safety Forces Response District:

The district shall consist of all lots and lands contained within the geographical boundaries of Wayne County, Ohio, or any county adjacent thereto.

(b) All newly appointed officers and firefighters are required to move into and reside within the Safety Forces Response District within ninety days of appointment. The Mayor or his/her designee may grant an extension of an additional ninety days.
