111.28 SERGEANT-AT-ARMS.

The presiding officer of Council shall have authority to appoint any policeman or other person as sergeant-at-arms, who shall preserve order and decorum during the session of Council, and, by order of Council, shall compel the attendance of absent members as may be prescribed by ordinance. (1950 Code, p. 74.)
