1505.04 STORAGE UNITS.
   (a)   Explosives and Blasting Agents. The storage of explosives and blasting agents is prohibited in all zoning districts, as defined in the Planning and Zoning Code, except Limited Industrial, General Industrial or Special Industrial Districts.
   (b)   Flammable Liquids or Combustible Liquids.
      (1)   The installation of any underground storage tanks for flammable or combustible liquids is prohibited except in the following districts set by the Planning and Zoning Code: M-1, M-2, M-3, C-2 through C-6, CF or AG.
      (2)   The installation of any aboveground storage tank for flammable or combustible liquids is prohibited in the following districts set by the Planning and Zoning Code: all residential, all commercial or M-4.
   (c)   Bulk Storage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas. The storage of liquefied petroleum gas is prohibited in the City except as follows:
      (1)   In zoning districts Limited Industrial, General Industrial, Special Industrial or Commercial 2 through Commercial 5.
      (2)   For residential use of cooking or heating devices, tanks shall not exceed a 125 gallon water capacity and there shall not be more than two tanks on the property at any one time. All storage tanks shall be to the outside and in a safe location approved for such use.
   (d)   Permits. A permit shall be obtained from the Fire Prevention Bureau prior to the installation, repair or removal of any underground or aboveground tank or piping. All applicable local, state and federal regulations shall be met.
   (e)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
