1321.12 TEMPORARY PERMIT; FEE.
   (a)   The Division of Building Standards may grant a temporary permit for a limited period of time for the installation or use of temporary electric service and/or wire for emergency or construction purposes, which may not conform with the regulations of this Code. All such electric wiring and equipment shall be isolated from the public by proper elevation, clearance and guarding, and all other current devices and disconnects shall be installed in approved locations and enclosures. The person for whom such wiring is installed shall be directly responsible for maintaining the safe condition of the installation at all times, and for its complete removal at the end of the fixed temporary period, as set by the Division of Building Standards, or at any time sooner when ordered by the Division of Building Standards. Carnivals, circuses, exhibitions and places of temporary outdoor assembly are included in the provision of this section, and all electric wiring and equipment associated therewith shall be installed, maintained and operated in a safe and workmanlike manner. Cable laid on the ground in areas traversed by the public shall be buried or protected by approved covering.
   (b)   The fee for a temporary permit shall be determined by the Division of Building Standards in accordance with the Schedule of Fees set forth in Chapter 1349.
