STREET TREE CULTIVAR RECOMMENDATIONS
The following tree cultivars are recommended for planting in tree lawn or downtown planting sites where stress from compaction, pedestrian abuse, pollution etc., has previously killed other types of trees. The trees listed below have been used successfully in many communities. However, please remember that the success of any tree planting depends upon the individual planting sites as well as the tree.
For specific information about any of the trees for our particular planting sites, please contact the Division of Forestry or a member of the Ohio Nurserymen's Association.
