929.02 BILLING; PENALTY FOR LATE PAYMENTS.
   (a)   The bill for electric current shall be paid by the twentieth day of the month in which the bill is received. If not paid by the twentieth day of the month, there shall be added a penalty in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bill. Further, if the bill is unpaid for a period of ninety days, the charge shall become a lien upon the realty and may be certified to the Auditor of Monroe County to be collected as other taxes and assessments.
   (b)   A service connection charge shall be imposed for the transfer of electric accounts from one person to another, in the amount of ten dollars ($10.00). Such charge to be imposed at time billing is transferred or placed in a new customer’s name.
   (c)   If a bill remains unpaid and service is disconnected, pursuant to regulations of the Village Administrator, there shall be charged a reconnection fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00). If both water and electric service must be reconnected, total reconnection charge for both services shall be thirty dollars ($30.00). (Ord. 749-87. Passed 5-18-87.)
