(a) Any person, firm, partnership or corporation desiring to operate a taxi or other motor vehicle for hire in the Village shall be required, before operating such vehicle, to procure from the Village a license to operate the same in and upon the streets of the Village.
(b) Any such person, firm, partnership or corporation so operating a taxi or other motor vehicle for hire, shall pay to the Village the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) for the first taxi or motor vehicle so operated and the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each additional taxi or motor vehicle. Such payments shall be made to the Clerk of the Village who shall have authority to issue therefor a license or permit for the operation thereof.
