§ 33.181 LIQUOR CONTROL COMMISSIONER; POWERS AND DUTIES.
   The Liquor Control Commissioner shall have the following powers, functions, and duties with respect to all licenses to sell alcoholic beverages issued by the city:
   (A)   To grant and or suspend for not more than 30 days, or revoke for cause, all local licenses issued to persons for premises within the jurisdiction of the city as provided and limited by the Illinois Liquor Control Act, being 235 ILCS 5;
   (B)   To enter, or to authorize any law enforcing officer, to enter at any time upon any premises licensed hereunder to determine whether any of the provisions of this Act or any rules and regulations adopted by the city or by the State Commission have been or are being violated and at such time to examine the premises of said licensee in connection therewith;
   (C)   To receive complaints from any citizen that any of the rules or regulations of the state or the city have been, or are being violated, and to act upon such complaints as provided by the laws of the state and city;
   (D)   Such other powers and duties as are granted and imposed by the state statutes; and
   (E)   Meetings of the Commission shall be upon call of the Mayor.
