The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners is hereby recognized as established in accordance with the statutes of the state. This Board shall consist of three members, whose terms of office shall be three years or until their respective successors are appointed and have qualified, and one shall be appointed each year by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council.
