§ 97.03 ALARM REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   The City Building Inspector shall review with the Chiefs, all permit applications and supervise, with the Electrical Inspector, the installation and acceptance testing of all alarm systems. This shall include hood systems. The Chiefs of each department, or designee, shall supervise or complete this process. Both the city inspector and Chiefs will approve/deny plans, permit applications and inspections related to the applicable requirements. He or she shall determine that only quality, UL or Factory Mutual approved equipment be installed in a professional manner by a licensed contractor.
   (B)   Fire alarm and hood systems will meet current NFPA standards, to include planning, installation, service testing, and annual maintenance/testing. If any system requires additional maintenance or testing per NFPA standard or other code, beyond the manufacturer recommendation, that NFPA standard or code will be enforced.
