This chapter shall govern all occupancies (business or residential) within the corporate limits of the city and occupants who own, rent/lease, or contract for alarm systems that may necessitate a response by emergency services personnel of this city. Further, it shall be unlawful to allow an alarm system to continue to report false alarms due to lack of maintenance, faulty or worn out equipment, poor installation practices, employee error or other conditions that may be correctable.
