(A) The NFPA National Fire Prevention Association, most current edition, as approved by the city, by reference hereto is incorporated into this chapter and made a part hereof as if fully set out.
(B) Wherever in the NFPA National Fire Prevention Association, the language thereof purports to grant to the Chief any discretionary authority, his or her power shall be limited to determining factually whether or not the conditions required by the Code have been met.
(C) Printed copies of the “NFPA National Fire Prevention Association” shall be made available in the office of the City Clerk for an appropriate fee.
(D) F-2904.0 Abandonment of Tanks
Whenever a tank has to be abandoned, it shall be removed in a manner approved by the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal and Local Fire Official and the site restored in an acceptable manner, or filled with some acceptable material approved by the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal and Local Fire Official. A tank is considered abandoned when the owner, tenant, or lessor has not sought to continue the use for a period exceeding twelve (12) months.
