§ 91.49 IMPOUNDMENT OF CATS.
   The Chief of Police, or his or her designee, shall have the power to take or have taken and have impounded all cats and other animals as follows:
   (A)   All cats which are deemed by the Chief of Police or his or her designee as a nuisance or a danger to the public; and
   (B)   All cats and other animals suspected by the Chief of Police to be exposed to or be affected with rabies, including cats or other animals known to have been bitten by a rabid animal, whether such cat or other animal is running at large or on leash. The above cats and other animals shall be impounded in the city animal shelter or at any other shelter which the Chief of Police may designate.
