§ 31.015 DUTIES.
   (A)   The Mayor is the head of the city government and shall preside at all meetings of the City Council and at all ceremonial occasions. He or she shall be recognized as the official head of the city by the courts for the purpose of serving civil process and by the Governor for all legal purposes.
   (B)   The Mayor shall have those duties prescribed in the Illinois Municipal Code, 65 ILCS 5.
