(A) The Chief of the Fire Department shall have the supervision and control of personnel, engines, and engine houses with their equipment.
(B) It shall be the duty of the Department to protect the citizens of the city and all property located therein against fires, to carry out and enforce all ordinances relating to fire protection and prevention, and perform such other duties as may be assigned by the City Manager or Council.
