§ 34.13 POLICE CADETS.
   (A)   For the purpose of this section, a POLICE CADET shall be an individual who desires to pursue a career as a police officer.
   (B)   Appointment as a police cadet shall be made by the Chief of Police of those individuals between the ages of 18 and 21 who shall serve the city during the pleasure of said Chief of Police.
   (C)   (1)   Police cadets shall be assigned to the Police Department and shall be under the direction and control of the Chief of Police.
      (2)   Said cadets shall in performance of their duties have the authority to issue parking violation summons for violation of parking restrictions as prescribed in the uniform traffic code in Title VII of this code of ordinances.
