§ 34.05 ASSISTING POLICE OFFICERS.
   Any police officer of the city, may at any time call upon any able-bodied male or female adult to aid him or her in arresting, retaking, or holding in custody any person who has committed an unlawful act; and whoever shall neglect or refuse to give such aid or assistance, when requested, shall incur a penalty as provided in § 10.99 for each such offense.
