1-8-4-4: EXEMPTIONS FROM BIDDING REQUIREMENTS:
   A.   Emergency Purchases: In the event of disaster or other emergency, if purchases of supplies, materials or equipment must be made immediately without an opportunity for the procedures herein or Village Board approval, the Village Administrator is authorized to make necessary purchases to protect the public health, safety and welfare without complying with the procedures outlined in this section 1-8-4. In the event of such emergency purchases, the Village Administrator shall report the details of the purchases to the Village Board at the next regular meeting thereof. (Ord. 89-11, 2-23-1989)
   B.   Joint Purchases: All purchases made jointly with the United States government, State of Illinois, Counties of DuPage and/or Will or other authorized unit of government are exempted from the formal and informal bid requirements of subsections 1-8-4-2A and B of this section 1-8-4.    C.   Articles Purchased For Resale To The Public: All purchases intended solely for resale to the public are exempted from the formal and informal bid requirements of subsections 1-8-4-2A and B of this section 1-8-4. (1976 Code §2-10)
