7-1-6: MAILBOXES IN PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY:
When required by Federal rules and regulations, a single mailbox per residential or commercial address may be installed upon the public right-of-way under the jurisdiction of the Village.
Any mailbox or support structure lawfully located in or upon the public right-of-way which is damaged by the Village through an act or omission of one acting as an agent or employee thereof shall be repaired or replaced by the Village; however, should the homeowner object to the proposed repair/replacement, the homeowner shall have the right to make such repair/replacement and the Village shall reimburse the owner for the actual cost of such repair/replacement, but in no event shall the amount of reimbursement exceed two hundred dollars ($200.00).
