6-8-2: CLEAR VISION:
   A.   No person may drive any motor vehicle:
      1.   When it is so loaded or when there are in the front seat such number of persons as to obstruct the view of the driver to the front or sides of the vehicle or as to interfere with the driver's control over the driving mechanism of the vehicle.
      2.   With any sign, poster or other nontransparent material upon the front windshield, sidewings or side or rear windows of such vehicle which materially obstructs, obscures or impairs the driver's clear view of the highway or any intersecting highway.
      3.   With any objects placed or suspended between the driver and the front windshield or between the driver and the rear window which obstructs the driver's view of the highway.
      4.   When the windshield or rear window is in such defective condition or repair as to directly impair the driver's vision to the front or rear.
   B.   No object, stationary or mobile, shall be placed on or suspended from the rearview mirror, front windshield, rear window or any other part of the inside of a motor vehicle except:
      1.   Religious or lodge statues or statuettes not exceeding six inches (6") in height; and
      2.   Wearing apparel which is suspended behind the driver and in a manner so as not to obstruct the driver's clear view of the highway.
   C.   No passenger in a vehicle may ride in such position as to interfere with the driver's view ahead or to the side or to interfere with his control over the driving mechanism of the vehicle.
   D.   The windshield on every motor vehicle shall be equipped with a device for cleaning rain, snow or other moisture from the windshield, which device shall be so constructed as to be controlled or operated by the driver of the vehicle. (1976 Code §§19-91, 19-221)
