6-5-2: MANNER OF PARKING:
   A.   Parallel Parking: Every vehicle stopped or parked on the streets, every part of the roadway of which forms a part of the state highway system and on every other street of the village where there is an adjacent curb, shall be stopped or parked with the right hand wheels of such vehicle parallel with and within twelve inches (12") of the curb or edge of the roadway and headed in the direction of travel; provided, however, that angle or diagonal parking may be authorized by the mayor and board of trustees in and upon streets other than state highways which are under the jurisdiction or control of the state of Illinois.    B.   Angle Parking: Persons parking where angle parking is permitted shall so park as to bring the vehicle between consecutive lines or markings on the pavement.
Such angle parking spaces shall be marked by painting or other method clearly indicating where vehicles may be so parked. (Ord. 2003-09, 3-27-2003)
