6-4-16: CARELESS, DANGEROUS DRIVING:
   A.   Reckless Driving: Any person who drives any vehicle with a wilful, wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property is guilty of reckless driving. (1976 Code §19-56)
   B.   Careless Driving: It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any motor vehicle within the Village in such a manner as to cause or produce loud noise in any of the following manners:
      1.   By racing the motor while the motor vehicle is in a standing position;
      2.   By spinning the wheels or wheel on pavement as a result of motor acceleration; or
      3.   By repeated sounding of a horn or other audio signal device. (1976 Code §19-57)
   C.   Drag Racing: It shall be unlawful for an operator of any motor vehicle to commit the offense of drag racing.
"Drag racing" means the act of two (2) or more individuals competing or racing on any street or highway in this Village in a situation in which one of the motor vehicles is beside or to the rear of a motor vehicle operated by a competing driver and the one driver attempts to prevent the competing driver from passing or overtaking him, either by acceleration or maneuver, or one or more individuals competing in a race against time on any street or highway in this Village.
