It shall be unlawful for any person to house, keep or maintain within a single dwelling unit more than three (3) dogs or three (3) cats, or any combination thereof, over the age of four (4) months within the corporate limits of the Village. Any person violating this Section may, in lieu of prosecution for violation hereof, make payment in accordance with Section 1-4-2 of this Code. (1976 Code §4-22)
