5-6-1: LIVESTOCK AND FOWL:
   A.   Prohibited Generally: It shall be unlawful for any person to keep, raise, breed or maintain a horse, mule, colt, ass, bull, ox, cow, calf, hog, pig, sheep, cattle or other livestock or fowl of any kind within the corporate limits of the village, except as otherwise provided herein.    B.   Bringing Livestock And Fowl Into Village: It shall be unlawful for any person to take or drive any such animal as is described in subsection A of this section from outside of the village limits to within the village limits, except as hereinafter provided.    C.   Permitting Use Of Land For Livestock And Fowl: It shall be unlawful for any owner, lessee or occupant, or agent, servant or employee thereof, being in control of any lot, piece or parcel of land within the village limits to knowingly allow, permit or maintain on any such lot, piece or parcel of land any animal of the type described in subsection A of this section, except as hereinafter provided.    D.   Special Permission For Livestock And Fowl: Anything herein to the contrary notwithstanding, the chief of police may, from time to time in his sole discretion, permit such animals as are described in subsection A of this section in such numbers and for such periods of time as he may authorize for educational, entertainment or other desirable purposes; provided, however, that animals within the village by virtue of such authorization shall be duly and properly supervised and shall not be so treated as to constitute a violation of the "Humane Care for Animals Act" 510 Illinois Compiled Statutes 70/1 et seq.
