5-1-9: INSURANCE BENEFITS:

All duly appointed police officers under this chapter shall be considered to be employees of this village, within the meaning of the workers' compensation act of the state of Illinois and, as such, entitled to the benefits and protection thereof. (1976 Code §11-15)
