A party seeking to annex property into the Village will request a zoning classification for the property upon filing an application to annex into the Village’s municipal boundaries. The requested zoning classification will be reviewed by the Village for consistency with the Village of Woodridge Comprehensive Land Use Plan, or any other relevant plan document, as well as the character of zoning in the area surrounding and abutting the subject property. The requested zoning classification will be reviewed by the Plan Commission and the Board of Trustees in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 6
of this Chapter. A property that is annexed without requesting a zoning classification will be zoned R-1, Single-Family Residence District. (Ord. 2024-6, 3-7-2024)
