1-5-1: COMPENSATION:
   A.   Mayor:
      1.   Compensation 1 : The Mayor shall receive as compensation the sum of nine thousand six hundred dollars ($9,600.00) annually, payable in equal monthly installments of eight hundred dollars ($800.00). Said amount shall be deemed to include compensation to the Mayor for acting in his or her capacity as Local Liquor Control Commissioner 2 . (Ord. 2008-47, 10-16-2008)
      2.   Expenses: The Mayor shall be entitled to reimbursement by the Village for expenses incurred by him/her in attending legal meetings of the Board of Trustees and for such other expenses as may be incurred by the Mayor when the same is incurred in the course of the performances of his/her duties as Mayor.    B.   Trustees:
      1.   Compensation 3 : Each Village Trustee shall receive as compensation the sum of four thousand eight hundred dollars ($4,800.00) annually, payable in equal monthly installments of four hundred dollars ($400.00). (Ord. 2008-47, 10-16-2008)
      2.   Expenses: Each Trustee shall be entitled to reimbursement by the Village for expenses incurred by him or her in attending legal meetings of the Board of Trustees and for such other expenses as may be incurred by said Trustee when the same is incurred in the course of the performance of his or her duties as a Trustee.
      3.   Absences: Compensation as provided in this section will be paid monthly regardless of the number of times a Trustee is absent from legal meetings of the Village, unless the Board of Trustees shall by ordinance provide otherwise. (1976 Code §2-51)

1. The rates of compensation provided for by this subsection shall be effective May 1, 2009. The compensation to be paid such elected officers shall be paid in accordance with the provisions of the Illinois Municipal Code, in that such compensation shall only be paid to such officers elected at the next general Municipal election to be held in April 2009. Those officers not eligible to receive the compensation provided for in this subsection during their current term of office shall, pursuant to statute, continue to receive the compensation provided for prior to May 1, 2009.
