2-4-6: RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS:
The Mayor and Board of Trustees shall, by ordinance, make such rules and regulations of the Board of Police Commissioners as may be necessary to efficiently operate the Police Department and to provide for the appointment, promotion and discipline of the officers of the Police Department.
The Board of Police Commissioners may from time to time recommend changes to such rules and regulations. The Mayor and Board of Trustees may from time to time make such changes to the rules and regulations, with or without the recommendation of the Board of Police Commissioners, as deemed appropriate.
All rules and regulations of the Board of Police Commissioners adopted pursuant to this Section, and any changes thereto, shall be printed for distribution, without delay, and notice shall be given of where the printed rules and regulations, or changes thereto, may be obtained and of the date, not less than ten (10) days subsequent to the date of publication of said notice, when the rules and regulations, or changes thereto, shall go into effect. The notice shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the Village of Woodridge.
