2-4-3: QUALIFICATIONS; OATH; REMOVAL FROM OFFICE:
The members of the Board of Police Commissioners shall possess the qualifications required of other officers of the Village as set forth in Chapter 1 of this Title and shall be electors of the Village. They shall take an oath or affirmation of office and shall be subject to removal from office as such other officers. No person holding an office under the Village shall be a member of the Board of Police Commissioners. No person shall be appointed a member of the Board of Police Commissioners who has been convicted of a felony under the laws of this State or comparable laws of any other State or the United States. No person shall be appointed a member of the Board of Police Commissioners who is related, either by blood or marriage up to the degree of first cousin, to any elected officer of the Village.
