For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD. An administrative body created and acting under the authority of the Local Government Code Enforcement Act.
CODE ENFORCEMENT CHAIRPERSON. The member of the Code Enforcement Board who is elected to serve as Chairperson by the members of the Board and who serves as the presiding officer and full voting member of the Board.
CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. A citation officer, safety officer, city police officer or other public law enforcement officer with the authority to issue a citation.
ORDINANCE. An official action of a local government body, which is a regulation of a general and permanent nature and enforceable as a local law, and shall include any provision of a code of ordinances adopted by the City Council which embodies all or part of an ordinance.
