(A) There is hereby created by the city a zoning and planning commission to consist of seven members, one of whom shall be the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, one of whom shall be an administrative official of the city selected by the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, one of whom shall be a member of the Board of Trustees selected by the Board of Trustees, all of whom shall serve as members ex officio, and four members appointed by the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, which members shall hold no other city office, except that one of such appointed members may be a member of the City Board of Zoning Adjustment and Appeals.
(B) The terms of the ex officio members shall correspond to their respective official tenures, except that the term of the administrative official selected by the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees shall terminate with the term of the Chairperson selecting him or her. The term of each appointed member shall be six years, and until his or her successor takes office, except that the original terms of the four appointed members shall be one, two, three and four years respectively.
