(A) Every person engaged in peddling any goods, wares, services or merchandise of any kind in the city shall pay the City Clerk and obtain therefrom an annual peddlers license for which he or she shall pay to said City Clerk $10. No peddlers license shall give authority for more than one person to peddle under said license, nor shall any person to which a license is granted sell by agents or clerks or any other way than by himself or herself in person, but each agent or clerk shall procure a separate license. Every peddler, while engaged in peddling, shall carry his or her license and exhibit the same whenever required to do so by any police office of the city.
(B) The term PEDDLER shall be construed to mean any person going from place to place within the city selling to the consumer, goods, wares, services or merchandise of any kind or description.
(C) No peddlers licenses shall be transferable nor shall any peddlers license be prorated. All such licenses shall be dated to expire.
