(A) The Chief of Police, or other designee, shall serve, or cause to be served, upon the owner, occupant or person having control or management of any premises within the city, written notice in the form of a warning citation to such person or persons, notifying said person or persons of the violation of this subchapter and demanding the abatement of the nuisance within seven days from the date of receipt of the warning citation. Service of the warning citation may take place by personal delivery to the owner, occupant or person having control or management of the property, or by certified mail, return receipt requested, or by leaving of the warning citation and notice to cut grass and/or weeds at the person’s usual place of residence with any individual residing therein who is 18 years of age or older and who is informed of the contents of the warning citation and notice.
(B) The warning citation shall state:
(1) The location of the violation;
(2) The nature of the violation;
(3) The time within which the violation must be abated; and
(4) The remedy the city may seek to abate the violation and recover costs for the same.
