The following sections of the International Fire Code, 2018 Edition, are revised as follows: 101.1. Title - Insert Village of Wolverine Lake as the Name of Jurisdiction.
(a) 108.1. Board of Appeals - Amended to read:
“The Construction Board of Appeals established and maintained pursuant to the Stille-DeRossett-Hale Single State Construction Code Act, Public Act No. 230 of 1972, as amended, and found at MCL 125.1501 et seq., administered and enforced under Chapter 1420 of Part Fourteen of the Code of Ordinances for the Village of Wolverine Lake, shall serve as the Board of Appeals for purposes of this Code.”
(b) 109.4. Violation Penalties - Amended to specify offenses as municipal civil infractions punishable as set forth in Chapter 202 of Part Two of the Code of Ordinances for the Village of Wolverine Lake, and to add:
“Each day that a violation continues after due notice has been served, in accordance with the terms and provisions hereof, shall be deemed a separate offense. A violation of any of the provisions of this Code is hereby declared to be a nuisance per se and may be abated by order of any court of competent jurisdiction.”
(c) 111.4. Failure to Comply - Amended to specify a fine in an amount as set forth in Chapter 202 of Part Two of the Code of Ordinances for the Village of Wolverine Lake.
(d) 202. Definitions, Fire Code Official - Amended to read:
“The fire chief, fire marshal, code enforcement officer, or other designated authority charged by the applicable governing body with the duties of administration and enforcement of the Code, or the duly authorized representative. The term “fire code official” may be used interchangeably with “code official” and “fire official” in this Code.”
(e) 307. Open Burning and Recreational Fires - Amended to read:
“Open burning is regulated by the Village of Wolverine Lake Open Burning Ordinance, codified in Chapter 674 of Part Six of the Code of Ordinances for the Village of Wolverine Lake.”
(f) 507.3. Fire Flow - Fire flow requirements for buildings or portions of buildings and facilities shall be determined in accordance with Appendix B.
(g) 5601.1.3. Fireworks - Amended to add exception 5 to read as follows:
“5. Activities pursuant to and in compliance with the provisions of Chapter 692 of Part Six of the Code of Ordinance for the Village of Wolverine Lake and the state law referenced in that Chapter.”
