As used in this General Offenses Code:
(a) The term “act” or “doing an act” includes “omission to act”.
(b) The words “person”, “accused” and similar words include, unless a contrary intention appears, public and private corporations, co-partnerships and unincorporated or voluntary associations.
(c) The term “public place” shall mean any street, alley, park, public building, any place of business or assembly open to or frequented by the public, and any other place which is open to the public view or to which the public has access.
(d) The word “property” includes any matter or thing upon or in respect to which any offense may be committed.
(e) The term “writing”, “written” and any term of like import includes the words printed, painted, engraved, lithographed, photographed or otherwise copied, traced or made visible to the eye.
