202.99  GENERAL CODE PENALTY; CIVIL INFRACTIONS; EQUITABLE REMEDIES; COMPLICITY.
   (a)   Unless a violation of an ordinance of the Village of Wolverine Lake is specifically designated in the ordinance as a Municipal civil infraction, the violation shall be deemed to be a misdemeanor.
   (b)   The penalty for a misdemeanor violation shall be a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00), plus costs of prosecution, or imprisonment not exceeding ninety-three days, or both, unless a specific penalty is otherwise provided for the violation by the ordinance or unless otherwise provided by law.
   (c)   The sanction for a violation which is a Municipal civil infraction shall be a civil fine in the amount as provided by these Codified Ordinances or any ordinance, plus any costs, damages, expenses and other sanctions, as authorized by law.
      (1)   Unless otherwise specifically provided for in a particular ordinance, the civil fine for a Municipal civil infraction violation shall be seventy-five dollars ($75.00), plus costs and other sanctions, for each infraction.
      (2)   Increased civil fines shall be imposed for repeated violations for an ordinance.  Unless otherwise specifically provided by an ordinance for a particular Municipal civil infraction violation, the increased fine for a first repeat offense (“second offense”) shall be one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00), plus costs and other sanctions for each offense, and the increased fine for a second (or any subsequent) repeat offense (“third offense”, fourth offense”, etc.) shall be three hundred dollars ($300.00), plus costs and other sanctions for each offense.
      (3)   The Judge or magistrate shall be authorized to reduce a fine upon a determination of extraordinary circumstances.
      (4)   The Judge or magistrate shall also be authorized to impose costs, damages and expenses as provided by law.
      (5)   In addition to ordering the defendant determined to be responsible for a Municipal civil infraction to pay a civil fine, costs, damages and expenses, the Judge or magistrate shall be authorized to issue any judgment, writ or order necessary to enforce or enjoin violation of an ordinance.
   (d)   Each day on which any violation of any ordinance continues constitutes a separate offense and shall be subject to penalties or sanctions as a separate offense.
   (e)   In addition to any remedies available at law, the Village may bring an action for an injunction or other process against a person to restrain, prevent or abate any violation of an ordinance.
   (f)   Every person concerned in the commission of an offense under these Codified Ordinances, whether he or she directly commits the act constituting the offense or procures, counsels, aids or abets in its commission, may be prosecuted, indicted, tried and on conviction shall be punished as if he or she had directly committed such offense.
