A Town Planning Commission may be created for the town. It shall consist of six appointive members, all of whom shall be residents of the town, and the Mayor and the Town Engineer (if any) as ex officio members. The appointive members shall be nominated by the Mayor and appointed by the Board of Trustees and shall serve for terms of three years. Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired terms. The members shall serve without compensation. The Board of Trustees may remove members of the Town Planning Commission for cause. The Town Board of Trustees may carry out the functions of the Planning Commission until a Commission is appointed.
