(A) If any vehicle is left unattended or otherwise parked, standing or stopped upon the shoulder along Hwy 271 between the intersection of Magnolia Avenue/Hwy 270-271 and Etta Street, any authorized police officer shall have authority to impound and remove such vehicle and charge to the owner thereof the cost of towing, storage and other charges incurred in connection therewith.
(B) Any police officer of the town shall have the authority to require any person found violating to present personal identification in the form of a motor vehicle operator’s permit, motor vehicle, registration or proof of vehicle ownership.
(C) Any person found to be in violation of any of the terms and provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine not to exceed $219.
(D) The Town Board of Trustees hereby deems that an emergency exists, and that an emergency measure is necessary for the immediate preservation of peace, health or safety, and that this section shall go into effect immediately upon its passage, approval and adoption.
