For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ACCESSORY TRAILER. Any platform or structure equipped with wheels or designed to be equipped with wheels, which can be pulled with a motor vehicle and which is intended or used to store or move an item of personal property other than a boat, including, without limitation, any car or truck trailer intended for snowmobiles, motorcycles, and lawn tractors. This definition shall not include any vehicle or structure which does not have TA, TB, or TC license plates.
BOAT TRAILER. Any platform or structure equipped with wheels or designed to be equipped with wheels which is intended or used to store or move a boat of any size or configuration, including, without limitation, motor driven, sail powered, jet-ski, pontoon, and all other hull and power designs. This definition shall not include any vehicle or structure which does not have TA, TB, or TC license plates.
RECREATION VEHICLE. Any vehicle which has RV license plates issued by the Illinois Secretary of State or the equivalent license plates issued by a sister state.
TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION STORAGE TRAILER. Any platform or structure, with or without wheels, of an approximately cubic or rectilinear nature, closed on the top, bottom and three sides, with a locking door on the fourth side, designed and intended for use as temporary storage of personal property during periods where remodeling of a structure is ongoing.
TRAILER. Any vehicle or structure which is suitable for living, sleeping, or office purposes and is mounted on wheels, or is so designed or equipped that wheels or other devices for moving the same can be affixed thereto, and which can thus be transported either by its own power or by external power or effort. This definition shall not include any vehicle operated upon fixed rails, nor shall it include any vehicle or structure which does not have TA, TB, or TC license plates.
