(A) Applications for brokers licenses shall be made in writing to the Village Clerk and shall state the article or property intended to be traded in. No such license shall be issued to any person who is not a person of good character, and it shall be the duty of the Chief of Police to make or cause to be made an investigation into the character of such applicant. (B) The annual fee for brokers shall be $20 and no license shall be issued except on the payment of the fee.
