§ 93.16 RAPID KEY ENTRY SYSTEM REQUIRED.
   (A)   All structures which are currently equipped with, or which are required under this code to be equipped with, a fire alarm system, sprinkler system or fire extinguishing system, or wherein materials are stored that the Fire Chief deems to pose such a threat to human health and safety and risk of property damage as to require entry to such structure prior to the arrival of the owner or other key holder, shall be equipped with a Knox brand rapid entry key box, which box shall be installed after consultation with the Fire Chief or the Chief’s designee regarding the size and location of such box.
   (B)   In addition to those structures described in division (A) of this section, all apartment buildings with four or more units and that have common entrances or exits shall be equipped with Knox boxes as described above.
   (C)   All existing structures which are required to have rapid entry boxes under this section shall have them fully installed not later than June 30, 2002.
   (D)   No building or structure erected to remodeled hereafter which shall be required to have a rapid entry box shall receive a certificate of occupancy from the village unless and until the rapid entry box is fully installed.
