(A) The maximum speed for motor vehicles on all streets within the village (except those described in division (B) hereinbelow) shall be 25 miles per hour;
(B) The maximum speed set forth in division (A) hereinabove shall not apply to the following roads, which are owned or maintained by the State of Illinois Department of Transportation and/or the Lake County Department of Transportation:
(1) Sheridan Road (Illinois Route 137);
(2) Lewis Avenue;
(3) Kenosha Road;
(4) Russell Road;
(5) Ninth Street.
(C) Penalty. Every person who is convicted of a violation of this schedule shall be subject to the penalty provisions of § 70.99.
