§ 75.26 LIMITED LOAD STREETS.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on any street in the village when the gross weight on the surface of the road through any axle of such vehicle exceeds 16,000 pounds. Where lower limits are imposed by ordinance and signs indicating such limitations are posted, it shall be unlawful to operate a vehicle in excess of such weight on such street, except for the purpose of making delivery or picking up a load of materials or merchandise where such transportation constitutes a direct service or benefit to the occupant of the premises where the delivery or pickup is made, in which case a vehicle may be driven on such street for not more than the minimum distance necessary for the specified service or benefit to the occupant of the premises.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful to operate any vehicle on the following streets in the village when the gross weight on the surface of the road from such vehicle exceeds 12,000 pounds:
      (1) On Fourth Street from its intersection with Sheridan Road to its intersection with College Avenue.
      (2)   On College Avenue from its intersection with Third Street to its intersection with Fourth Street.
      (3)   On Holdridge Avenue from its intersection with Third Street to its intersection with Fourth Street.
