§ 50.140 EVIDENCE OF COST AND OPERATION.
   (A)   Whenever any property owner shall, at his own cost, construct within any street, alley, public way, or easement in the village pursuant to permit and authority received from the village, a water or sewer line extension in accordance with village standards and specifications inspected and approved by the village, and when properties other than the property of the person constructing such improvements shall intervene and abut upon that section of the street, alley, public way, or easement within which such improvement lies, then when the constructing owner shall furnish certification and satisfactory evidence of the cost of such improvement, the President and Board of Trustees shall investigate the reasonableness thereof in accordance with existing prices.
   (B)   When the Board of Trustees is satisfied as to such reasonableness, the Public Works Superintendent shall make appropriate record in his books and atlas of the nature, extent, location, and cost of such improvement. Such water or sewer extensions and appurtenances, upon approval of the Superintendent and after one year of satisfactory operation, shall be conveyed to the village.
