§ 50.003 SEWERAGE AND WATERWORKS DEPARTMENT; SUPERINTENDENT.
   (A)   There shall be a Superintendent of the Sewerage and Waterworks Department to be appointed by the President and Board of Trustees who shall have supervision, management, and control, subject to the Village Board, over all buildings and equipment used and the furnishings of sewerage and water service in the village, shall see that the object and purposes of the Sewerage and Waterworks Department are carried out and that the sewerage and waterworks system is conducted on an economical businesslike basis. For this purpose, it shall be the duty of the Superintendent and all employees of said Department to enforce all of the provisions of this chapter and to observe, obey, and carry out the orders and directions of the Board of Trustees. The Superintendent shall prepare and keep in his office a complete atlas of the sewerage and waterworks system, together with all valves, hydrants, water service connections, and other appurtenances distinctly recorded therein.
   (B)   The Superintendent and employees of the Sewerage and Waterworks Department shall receive as compensation for their services, amounts to be fixed by the Board of Trustees from time to time.
   (C)   The Superintendent shall submit reports in writing to the Village President and the Board of Trustees as directed.
