§ 33.04 MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS.
   The membership of the Fire Department shall consist of such persons as may be appointed by the Chief, and who shall be able-bodied persons 18 years of age or over, and citizens residing within the village or the fire district (preferably citizens whose business activities are normally within the confines of the village, and who have telephones in their homes).
