§ 32.61 MEMBERSHIP.
   (A)   The Recreation Board shall consist of seven members.
   (B)   The Mayor shall initially appoint persons to serve as members of the Recreation Board after enactment of this section with the approval by the Board of Trustees for three-year staggered terms as follows: Two members shall be appointed to a three-year term; two members shall be appointed to a two- year term; and three members shall be appointed to a one-year term. At the expiration of each term, or for vacancies occurring before the completion of a term, the Mayor shall make subsequent appointments for three-year terms with the approval of the Board of Trustees.
   (C)   One member of the Recreation Board shall be designated as Chairperson, but shall retain full voting rights in such position. It shall be the Chairperson's duty to preside over the public hearings and meetings of the Board.
   (D)   The Mayor, with approval by the Board of Trustees, shall have the power to remove any member of the Recreation Board for cause and after a public hearing. Not attending two successive meetings without a valid excuse shall be presumed to be good cause for removal.
   (E)   Each member of the Recreation Board shall serve on a voluntary basis and shall not be compensated for his or her service to the Board.
