§ 32.07 TIME LIMITATIONS ON VARIANCES.
   (A)   Notwithstanding any other provision of this Code, all variances granted to any person, corporation or other entity after the effective date of this section from the zoning provisions of this Code shall automatically lapse unless the physical construction of the improvements for which the variance was sought has begun within six months next following grant of the variance pursuant to a valid building permit issued by this village.
   (B)   All variances granted prior to the effective date of this section shall automatically lapse one year after this section becomes effective.
   (C)   Any person, corporation or other entity who has received or is seeking a variance, but cannot or is unlikely to be able to obtain a building permit and commence construction within the time period that the variance is or would be in effect may petition the Village Board to extend the same, and in its sole discretion, the Village Board may extend the variance upon such terms as it deems fit for good cause shown, provided that any hearing for extension shall be accompanied by notification to abutting and adjoining property owners as required for a variance in the first instance.
