§ 31.142 APPOINTMENT.
   The Prosecuting Attorney for the village shall be appointed upon motion of the President of the Board of Trustees, and upon the approval of the majority of the votes cast by the Board of Trustees in favor of said motion. Should the President of the Board of Trustees either fail to appoint the Prosecuting Attorney, or if said appointment is not approved by the majority of the Board of Trustees, then the Prosecuting Attorney shall be appointed upon motion of any Trustee of the Board of Trustees, and upon approval of the majority of the votes cast by the Board of Trustees for said motion.
